Coach Katy Meyer came to Prescott and Embry-Riddle from Flagstaff, Arizona in May of 2000. A walk-on freshman turned team co-captain and recipient of a full scholarship at Division 1 Northern Arizona University; Meyer is a student of the sport of volleyball. From playing, to officiating, to coaching, Coach Meyer thrives on what the sport of volleyball has added to her day-to-day life. "It is the competition, camaraderie, and challenges, inherent in the team sport of volleyball, which initiated my decision to coach full-time."

Since taking over at the head coaching position in Prescott, the ERAU Women's Volleyball program has made positive and productive strides. The 2003 season saw the Eagles finish with the 2nd best in the program's history.

Meyer is a native of Arizona. Born and raised in Mesa, she has resided in the communities of Wellton, Lake Havasu City, Peoria, and Flagstaff. In May of 1996, Meyer married her best friend Peter Anthony Meyer, a retired middle-school computer instructor in the Flagstaff Public School District. Prior to accepting the head coaching position at ERAU, Katy was a fully licensed financial advisor for 6 years. Coach Meyer received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University in 1992.

Finally, Coach Meyer actively involves herself with youth, city- and state-wide. Alongside her husband, Katy has administered two USA Volleyball Juniors Clubs – Yavapai Juniors and Peaks VBC.
