Meghan Luckett took control of
the reins for the Women's Soccer team on the Prescott campus
in the Fall of 2004. Before taking the job for the Eagles, Coach
Luckett served as the
Associate Head Women's Soccer Coach at Aquinas College in
Grand
Rapids, Michigan. In addition to coaching the Saints, Luckett
taught History and English at Portage Central High School and
coached the
East
Grand Rapids
High School Girl's Varsity team.
Coach Luckett graduated Magna Cum Laude
in 2001 from Aquinas College where she was an Academic All-American
and
captain
of
the women's
soccer
team.
She
was named an All-Region player at Aquinas College and
before transferring to Aquinas was also a standout at NCAA
Division I Western Michigan University, where she earned All-Tournament
honors in 1997. By accepting the job At ERAU, Coach Luckett will
be returning to
her roots
in
Arizona.
She attended Sabino High School in Tucson, Arizona where she
was
an All-State
midfielder, captain and starter for the Sabercats.
"I am very excited
about the prospects of this new program," said Coach Luckett.
We are laying the foundation for a tradition
of success, both in the classroom and on the soccer field. This
is an exciting time to be on board and have a hand in creating
a new program that will undoubtedly be successful in the years
to come."
Luckett holds her NSCAA National Diploma
and NSCAA State Goalkeeping Diploma. In
addition to her coaching duties, Coach Luckett is also the
Sports Information
Director
for the
Eagles.
